MultiPoint Conferencing Unit (MCU)
Avaya's MultiPoint Conferencing Solution includes all of the necessary networking and networking management products required for customers to establish and operate successful multipoint video conferences. The total solution consists of three complementary sub-systems:

1. Avaya's MCU sets up and manages multipoint video conferencing calls,
2. The optional Conference Reservation and Control System (CRCS) automates the reservation process and manages the MCU, and
3. The optional Enhanced Server Module (ESM) supports multipoint data conferencing allowing conference participants to simultaneously work on documents and spreadsheets in real time.

Avaya's MCU enhances business's ability to communicate visually, and with data collaboration, it also improves the productivity of a typical audio-only call. Avaya's MCU is an industry-leading product in terms of flexibility, performance, and ease of use...MultiPoint Videoconferencing Made Easy.

Avaya's MCU is not only the most reliable MCU in the market, but also the most advanced, with new, state-of-the-art features, such as Continuous Presence Plus, Panoramic View and Speed Match. With Continuous Presence Plus mode, Avaya's MCU is the first system to allow all 25 participants to be both seen and heard during a single multipoint conference. Panoramic View provides a wide-angle picture, showing three or four people on the screen at one time. Speed Matching allows customers to hold video meetings between locations running video systems at different data transfer rates. Each site maintains the video and audio quality provided by their individual systems and network.

Avaya's Conference Reservation and Control System (CRCS) is an optional, Microsoft Windows™-based automated system for reserving and controlling conferences, conference rooms and video networking resources.

Users wishing to make a reservation can call a reservation agent and request a number of video conferencing endpoints for a specific time(s). Avaya's CRCS will perform conflict resolution for the request and, if all sites and the Avaya MCU resources are available, schedule the conference and at the appropriate time download the proper information into the MCU for setup and tear down of the conference.

StreamStation IP™ StreamStation IP™ provides a complete solution for streaming entire meetings over the World Wide Web. Participants can easily attend any meeting from their PC, with only a Web browser and a RealPlayerTM G2. The Polycom StreamStation™ provides an easy-to-use solution for holding live Webcasts and creating on-demand World Wide Web streaming content. ShowStation IP™Multimedia Conferencing Projector
ShowStation IP™ does much more than any ordinary overhead or LCD projector. It works with and enhances your audio conferencing or video conferencing system, enabling customers to share information easily across distances. ShowStation IP allows you to connect any number of sites quickly and easily. You can connect sites in a single conference via analog telephone lines, your business Intranet, or the Internet. Participants at each remote site can interact with or view materials, using either a ShowStation IP or a standard PC with a basic Web browser.
